Welcome to Indoor Bowls Ōtautahi Incorporated – “The Owls”!

We’re a fresh and enthusiastic addition to the indoor bowls community in Ōtautahi, Christchurch, committed to creating a fun, inclusive, and welcoming space for everyone. Whether you’re picking up a bowl for the first time or simply curious about the game, the Owls are here to encourage participation, build skills, and most importantly, ensure everyone has a great time on the mats!

We meet up fortnightly on Thursday evenings at Kearneys Road. It’s all about enjoying yourself, meeting good people, building on your skills and seeing if you’ve got what it takes to land the perfect shot (or just have a yarn about the ones that didn’t quite make it).

If you’re up for a bit of friendly competition and plenty of banter, come join the Owls. We’d love to see you there!

Get ready for the Owls Open Drawn Championship Series!

We're rolling out an epic trio of tournaments, Singles, Pairs & Triples, hosted across the Canterbury region. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or brand new to the game, everyone’s welcome, no affiliation needed. Just turn up, give it a go, and have some fun!

We will take your name and your preferred playing position (no guarantees but we will try our best!) and we will draw the teams on the day. Each tournament features fours action-packed games, with the top 16 teams based on wins/ends/points advancing knock out rounds to fight for the championship title. Didn’t make the cut? Don’t worry, there’s still the Plate to play for! Play in all three tournaments and you could walk away with the ultimate honour: the Owls Aggregate Prize! Enter your name below ⬇️
